Hey Y'all,

Thanksgiving day may be over for some. Everyday, is a day of thanksgiving for me. This is my first Blog Post. Putting my thoughts and feelings in to words is not a joy of mine. I speak with color as it keeps me free from being in a box. 

Today, I express my gratitude to all of you that support ItSpeaksArt. I appreciate you! I thank all of you who motivated me as a very young child to just be myself. I carry those words of wisdom with me. That's all I know to be and I love me! Everyone else is already taken. LOL!

Being your true self creates mountains sometimes as a solopreneur. While I absolutely enjoy the journey and the process, there are days when I want to throw in the towel! But, there's a fire burning inside of me that can't be blown out.

I've learned that extending my hand and asking for help to move mountains can be better than trying to climb them. I am black. I am a woman. I have a small business with limited resources. There are times when I've felt like I am not enough. A quote from Maya Angelou comes to mind and I am encouraged to continue the journey. My purpose is not to sell my art. My purpose is to connect with, and inspire people. 

Thank you to everyone who walks beside me.
